Checking The Status Of My Order
Almost
all shops you buy from online will give you some form of confirmation
of purchase at the time you place your order. There will usually
be a reference number that appears on the thank you page, after
you've placed your order. We strongly advise that you print out
this page for future reference should you need it. The very least
you should do is make a note of any order references that you're
given.
A
lot of shops will also send you out an e-mail confirming your
purchase that contains all the information about the order and
a reference number for future enquiries regarding an order. They
do this to make it easier to track your order so you should save
it until you are sure that your order has arrived and that you're
happy with it.
Some
of the bigger sites offer full online order tracking services
where you can type in your reference number and they'll tell
you the exact status of your order. Unfortunately the technology
to provide this information is expensive and most shops can't
afford it so it's usually done via e-mail. If you're not sure
about any element of your order you should always contact the
shop to ask. This is when making sure that they provide contact
details is really useful, for those occassions when you really
need to talk to a human being!
